Healing Takes Courage

Healing isn’t easy. It requires us to sit with our pain, confront our wounds, and choose to move forward—even when it hurts. As Tori Amos beautifully said, "Healing takes courage, and we all have courage, even if we have to dig a little to find it."

Courage isn’t the absence of fear or pain; it’s the decision to keep going despite them. Some days, that courage is loud and fearless. Other days, it’s quiet, showing up in small ways—choosing rest over self-criticism, speaking kindly to yourself, or simply getting out of bed when your heart feels heavy.

Healing is a process, not a destination. There will be setbacks, moments when the weight of past wounds feels unbearable. But remember, even on the hardest days, the strength to heal is already within you. It might be buried under self-doubt, exhaustion, or fear, but it’s there.

So, take your time. Be patient with yourself. And when you feel like giving up, remind yourself: you are brave, you are strong, and you are capable of healing. One step at a time, you will get there. 💙✨
